In the aftermath of the devastating Turkey Earthquake, One World Relief founders swiftly mobilized to provide critical support to those affected. Our mission was to bring relief and hope to communities grappling with the aftermath of this natural disaster, helping them rebuild their lives. Along with local partners we provided, food, water & shelter
Rebuilding a community, requires a community
On the 6th of February 2023, Turkey was hit with a series of 7+ magnitude earthquakes, devastating communities and homes. The earthquake also claimed the innocent lives of 55,000 people and injured a further 100,000.
Before even being an established charity One World Relief founders and their donors helped with essential emergency supplies, housing, educating, and providing satisfactory healthcare support for the people whose lives have been affected.
How did we respond?
Emergency Relief Distribution.
Our teams were on the ground, delivering urgent aid including food, clean water, shelter, and medical assistance to the affected areas, ensuring that basic needs were met during that challenging time. Our work is continuing in Turkey with our partners so you can keep supporting and donating to this cause.
Temporary Shelter Assistance.
For families left without homes, we worked tirelessly to provide temporary shelter solutions, offering a safe haven for individuals and families to regroup and rebuild. Thereafter supporting people to move into more permanent accomodation.
Medical Care & Support.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, we addressed the immediate and ongoing health needs of those affected, ensuring access to medical care, medications, and mental health support.
Community Rehabilitation.
Beyond immediate relief, we are committed to the long-term recovery of affected communities. Our rehabilitation programs focus on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting local businesses, and restoring a sense of normalcy.
